Risen Savior Lutheran Church

Prayer is a vital component of the Christian experience. As a family of believers, we come together to pray for all needs, corporately and individually, whether for our own needs, the needs of others, our country, its leaders and for the whole of God’s creation. Through prayer, we praise God, thank and glorify Him for His many blessings, especially for sending His Son Jesus, through whom we pray. 

This ministry is an extension of the Pastoral Office and under its authority. 

Risen Savior’s Prayer Ministry uses three means to bring our petitions before the Lord:

Prayer Team

Comprised of the current Ministry Team. Responsible for day-to-day coordination of this Ministry using discretion and discernment. Additionally, team members come together monthly to pray.

Prayer Chain

Comprised of members, former members, and other interested individuals. Individuals are made aware of prayer requests via emails, so they can independently pray for these needs. 

Pastor’s Prayer Partners

Comprised of any member of the congregation. Individuals pray daily for Pastor’s personal and spiritual needs. A member is assigned a specific day of the month to pray with/for Pastor. Pastor prays for the individual. 

Submitting a Prayer Request

Any individual, member or non-member of Risen Savior, may submit a prayer request to any member of the Prayer Team. Each request will receive a “prayer buddy”, a contact person. Each request will be shared on the Prayer Chain, unless requested to be kept confidential. All requests will be prayed for daily in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ.
