Cheryl Ernst has been a Missouri Synod Lutheran Church secretary for 23 years. She began at her home church – Benediction Lutheran as a substitute secretary and accepted the position of Church/School Secretary at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Glendale WI in 1985.

After her husband Wally passed away in 2000 she decided it was time to make changes in her life. As Youth Counselor at her church she took the kids to Noah’s Ark where she ran into a former member of Benediction and member of Risen Savior. He told her that they were looking for a secretary here at Risen Savior. Pastor Doug called me the next week and the rest is history.

“God’s hand was surely guiding my life and my future. I feel it is a privilege and a blessing to be a part of the ministry of Risen Savior. Each and every day brings a new challenge and learning experience. From the Preschool to the Church members I have found joy, comfort and true and lasting friendships that have made a huge difference in my life.”

Cheryl lives in Pewaukee and she has one son – Scott – and daughter-in-law Mary who live in Somers, WI.  She has joined the Sanctuary Choir, teaches Sunday School and Cool Club here at Risen Savior.
